Theatre of Operations: World War 1 – Western Front. The first Imperial Germany Army battery received its heavy field howitzers in August 1914. By 1918, KRUPP and Rheinmetall had delivered 3,409 sFH 13’s in both the a long and short barrel variant.
Capture: There is no record of which Australian Unit captured this gun.
Bendigo: This war trophy gun was allotted to the City of Bendigo after WW1in recognition of the City’s war efforts. The City of Bendigo received this gun in July 1921. Up until the late 1980’s, the gun was on public display near the poppet head in Rosalind Park.
